Challenge Terms & Conditions

These Challenge Terms & Conditions ("Challenge Terms") govern your entry into and participation in the step challenges and leagues offered within the Impulso app ("Impulso", "we", "us"), operated by Serour Designs (the "Operator"). By entering a challenge you agree to these Challenge Terms, the Impulso Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not enter a challenge.

1. Definitions

• Challenge / League - a time limited competition in which members compete on verified step count.
• Entry Window - the period (for example, the hours before a challenge starts) during which you may enter.
• Challenge Period - the period over which steps are counted toward the result.
• Division - your skill tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond). Some challenges are limited to a division.
• Verified Steps - steps recorded and accepted by Impulso's server side scoring and integrity checks.
• Giveaway Pool - the fixed, Operator funded amount announced for a challenge, split among the winning places.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be located in a region where Impulso challenges are offered and lawful.
• You must have an active paid membership and a verified account in good standing.
• One account per person. Multiple, duplicate or shared accounts are not permitted.
• Employees of the Operator and their immediate households are not eligible to win cash giveaways.

3. Entering a challenge

• When a challenge opens, you may enter during its Entry Window. Once the Entry Window closes, entry is closed and you must wait for the next challenge.
• Some challenges are restricted to a specific division; you may only enter challenges your division allows.
• Entry does not require a separate payment or stake. Membership provides access to enter; you are not wagering on the outcome.

4. How winners are decided

• Members are ranked by total Verified Steps recorded during the Challenge Period.
• The top three ranked members win the giveaway, split as announced for that challenge (for example 1st / 2nd / 3rd).
• Ties are broken in favour of the member who entered the challenge earliest.
• Only steps that pass Impulso's verification and integrity checks count. Results are calculated by the Operator's servers and are final, subject to the review process below.

5. Giveaways

• Giveaways are fixed amounts funded by the Operator and announced before the challenge opens. They are not funded by members' fees or entries.
• Winning amounts are credited to your in app wallet and may be withdrawn, subject to verification (section 7).
• Giveaways are not transferable and cannot be exchanged except as described in these Challenge Terms.
• You are responsible for any taxes payable on giveaways you receive.

6. Fair play and prohibited conduct

To protect the integrity of competition, you must not:

• Manipulate, fabricate, automate or artificially generate steps (for example shaking or mounting a device, using machines, vehicles, animals, bots or step spoofing tools).
• Use more than one account, or enter on behalf of another person.
• Tamper with the app, the device's health data, or attempt to bypass integrity checks.
• Use a modified, emulated, rooted or jailbroken device to enter or compete.

7. Verification, identity and payouts

• Impulso uses server side scoring, device integrity checks (App Attest / Play Integrity) and anomaly detection to protect results.
• Before any cash payout, you may be required to verify your identity (KYC) through our payment provider (Stripe). Payouts may be held pending verification or review.
• We may hold, review, delay or decline a payout where results are flagged, unverified, or where we reasonably suspect a breach of these Challenge Terms or applicable law.
• Withdrawals are processed to your nominated method, subject to provider timeframes and any minimums shown in the app.

8. Disqualification and forfeiture

We may disqualify an entry, void a result, withhold or reclaim a giveaway, suspend or close an account, and ban a member from future challenges, where we reasonably determine a breach of these Challenge Terms, cheating, fraud, or attempted manipulation. Forfeited giveaways may be reallocated to the next eligible member or retained by the Operator.

9. Changes, suspension and cancellation

We may add, change, pause, reschedule or cancel a challenge, and correct errors in scoring or giveaway information, where reasonably necessary (for example for technical issues, suspected manipulation, or legal reasons). Where a challenge is cancelled before completion, no cash giveaway is awarded for that challenge.

Challenges and the app are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for injury or harm arising from your activity, or for issues caused by your device, network or third party services. Nothing in these Challenge Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

Personal information collected for challenges and payouts is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Leaderboards display your chosen display name and your step total / rank to other members in that challenge.

13. Governing law

These Challenge Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the State or Territory in which the Operator is based. You submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
